Tocaban ese vello valse labrego
Nun bar baleiro facendo eco contra a parede
Cando chegou a mala noticia
de que ti me deixabas
A banda tocaba o vello valse labrego para min.
Pois amei, e perdido, choraba
O día en que morreu o noso
Non teño escusas, só quero cabalgar
Non teño escusas, só quero cabalgar
Mentres a banda toca o vello valse labrego.
Trala fiestra a lúa brilla
Sobre os teitos dos coches
Mentres me atraco de tequila con sal
E a banda toca o vello valse labrego.
E tocámolo nós, o vello valse labrego
Neste bar baleiro facendo eco contra a parede
Non hai escusa, só queremos tocar
Ese vello valse labrego tan bonito.
Non teño escusa, só quero tocar
Ese vello valse labrego tan bonito
Ese vello valse labrego tan bonito.
The Old Country Waltz
They were playing that old country waltz
In this empty bar echoin' off the wall
When I first got the bad news that you set me free
The band played the old country waltz to me.
Well, I loved, and I lost, and I cried
The day that the two of us died
Ain't got no excuses, I just want to ride
While the band plays the old country waltz
Out the window the moon shines
On the roofs of the cars
While I knocked down tequila and salt
And the band plays the old country waltz
And we're playin' it, that old country waltz
In this empty bar echoin' off the wall
Ain't got no excuses, we just want to play
That good old country waltz
I ain't got no excuses, I just want to play
That good old country waltz
That good old country waltz
The Old Country Waltz
They were playing that old country waltz
In this empty bar echoin' off the wall
When I first got the bad news that you set me free
The band played the old country waltz to me.
Well, I loved, and I lost, and I cried

I ain't got no excuses, I just want to play
That good old country waltz
That good old country waltz

Neil Young
Fotografía de Emilio Blanco, que o velo a paisaxe recordoulle a canción de Neil Young The old country waltz. O Milucho e máis eu temos a ben recoñecer a nosas orixes labregas.
